Surprise!

I bet you were expecting Natalie, but today I’ve invaded her blog and taken over.

My name is Ola, of Styles by Ola, I am a friend of Natalie’s and also an image consultant. If you’re missing Natalie, you can find her over at Professionality, I believe she’s already invaded Dawn’s blog. :)

In the meantime, I hope you enjoy my post on finding the ultimate summer swimsuit and a few of my personal swimwear tips & tricks.

Summer Swim Fashion Styles by Ola Signature Style

The first rule I always standby (with everything I buy) is , don’t buy because of a trend, buy

it because it fits and you look hot in it!

And don’t be afraid to show off those curves ladies. ; )

Prints are the ultimate camouflage when working with swimwear. Anything from fun geo patterns, romantic floral prints, to animal markings will help distract from any problem areas.

Remember, when choosing a suit that masks your love handles or tummy, ensure to show your bust line by opting for a deeper v-neck style.

A little DIY trick that I always share with my clients: if you need extra support for the ladies, clip the back straps with a vintage clip. It’s a great way to add some pizzaz to your swim look.

I personally have a long torso and rise and small chest; the high waisted bottoms with a long line bustier top is an ideal style for my body proportions. Another great style for small
busts is a bandeau top with molded cups. Try to find one that dips in the middle, this adds more shape and femininity.

If you have more of a boyish shape, find a one piece suit with cut out details. This style will help give the illusion of curves. Or, color blocking curves can also do the trick.

Summer Swim Fashion Tips

Finish off your beach look with the perfect cover up.

I personally value versatility in all my clothing, so I actually don’t own an actual ‘swim
coverup’. I rework certain pieces in my wardrobe (like this skirt) and use them at the beach.
I also have several large square scarves which I’ve learned to tie a couple different ways to keep it interesting.

Add a great fedora or wide brim hat, some SPF and you’re ready for a day in the sun!
