The vote is in, Pantone’s 2015 Color of the Year is Marsala! A color that exudes “confidence and stability.” Are you confident in how to pair this earthy hue? I teamed up with David Peck, Nordstrom, and Trina Turk to show you how to wear this shade on Great Day Houston!
Watch the segment and shop looks after the jump!
True Marsala has earthy undertones. Pair them with rich hues like navy and mustard with neutral cream accents like these pieces from David Peck.

Keeping it Simple
With Marsala or nearly any color you are unsure of, start with neutrals. It’s a safe pairing and can be an easy go to combination.
Match Marsala with mint for an unexpected pairing. Keep the two colors in the same cool/warm family for a perfect complement. Add a neutral color like the trench to balance the contrast and complete the look.
Prints are great ways to sneak in a color you’re not sure how to wear. It also works as a great cheat sheet to show you what goes with what. Watch the segment to see how switching accessories totally changes the look!
HUGE THANKS to Trina Turk, David Peck, and Neal Hamil for contributing to this colorful segment!
