Today’s Friday Finds is more about brands than it is individual items. I’ve been working with several guys with their wardrobe this month and we’ve started with new jeans for all of them. The goal with all of them has been to find jeans that take room out of the thighs without going all the way to a skinny jean fit. Why? Because roomy thigh jeans are dated and contribute to a shorter, heavier look. ;-)
Here are four brands that have been recent hits with my clients.
Hudsons, for men and women, are great if you have some junk in your trunk or work out enough that your athletic thighs don’t fit into a super slim straight leg jean. Available at Nordstrom, the Byron style in particular is a pretty versatile fit. If you are looking for color, don’t miss this burgundy pair.
If you haven’t looked at Levis in awhile, it’s worth another look. They are so much more than 501s! Their denim comes in over a dozen different fits and styles, not to mention various washes within each cut and you can’t beat the price point for a built-to-last jean. Available at Macys, take a look at the 513 or 514’s first.
These jeans are truly international, made from salvaged raw denim found in Japan and created in Canada, Naked and Famous jeans are perfect for the tall, thin types and I hear they are crazy comfortable. I especially like the lighter denim version available in store at Nordstrom.
Available at Macys and Dillards, these Buffalo David Bitton jeans are a great option. The Six styles are my favorites and they are not only comfortable but are often on sale.
