For those who like to trade in high heels (or wingtips) for hiking boots. We are an outdoor-loving family and these are some of our favorites for the great outdoors!

- Go Pro @ BackCountry (free two-day shipping on $50 or more). for your outdoor adventures, and your kid. The pole mount is getting a lot of air time this season.
- SmartWool Phd Outdoor Lightweight Socks. The one time socks are an acceptable stocking stuffer. I first discovered the ski sock version and now there are versions for hiking, running, you name it. Love them!
- JetBoil Zip Stove Cooking System. Weighs less than 12 ounces and boils water in just over two minutes.
- Big Agnes Insulated Sleeping Pad. The first time we went hike-in camping, I slept on the ground. The next day I bought this amazing mattress pad. :-)
- Alite Mayfly Chair. (free shipping) This cousin to the Alite Monarch comes with an optional kickstand for true lounging
- Patagonia Nano Puffer Vest. Puffers are always in season.
- Black Diamond Gizmo Headlamp. I can’t say you’ll look super stylish in a headlamp but it sure is handy for night hiking and camp setup. Or rummaging around the house at night…
