Remember when wearing flats meant you were giving up? I am a heels girl for sure but some days you need an alternative! Stylish Flats: Is Comfortable the New Chic?
It really does not seem fair how some celebrities (excluding models with their effortlessly chic off duty looks) are spotted walking around in their shiniest, tallest, reddest bottom heels all day and make it seem like they are walking on clouds. Don’t get me wrong, I am no stranger to wearing my fiercest bored model stare, while my heel rubs that blister and my ankles feel like they are about this close to snapping. It just appears that celebrities can do it so much longer of than most of us.
For those of us who actually have live nerves in our feet and do not have a camera crew following us around 24/7 (I’m talking about you, Kardashian clan), we know that there is no real reason to self- inflict that kind of pain on ourselves or to turn our favorite pair of heels into our enemies (Note: It is okay to have shoes that are strictly meant for short walks to the car, to the restaurant table and back to the car. I call these my “Dinner Shoes.”)
While many of us fashionistas feel we have to keep a pair of flat shoes in our cars or handbags so we can change into them after brunch, and before we begin our errand list, “sensible” no longer has to mean unsightly. Today there are SO many choices for fashionable flat shoes, that you can not only walk comfortably in, but you can also strut confidently in! It is all about picking a style that works best for you!
