Ya’ll my feet are killing me. I spent practically the entire day at Nordstrom yesterday shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale for myself and clients. Whew! There are some great styles and deals to be had!
Don’t know what I’m talking about? The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is a fabulous reverse sale – the coming season is on sale instead of the past seasons! Last year’s advice still holds true: denim, beauty, and intimates are great items to snag during the sale. This year, after perusing the catalog and racks, here are some of the highlights! For the Gals
Ladies, perhaps more than in previous years there are great wear-now pieces featured on the sale in addition to all the great finds for the coming season.
Ya’ll this jacket is ridiculous and it’s $63. I had to delete the sentences where I was telling you it was sold out so if you think you want it, get it right this second!! This Rag and Bone military jacket is also fabulous. The floral top is not part of the anniversary sale but couldn’t be passed up!
This scuba sheath is a great find (btw – scuba means slightly thicker, stretchier fabric). Great for work or edged out for a evening out plus the print is flattering and forgiving!
Enzo Angiolini is one of my favorite shoe brands because they consistently carry 11s (and sometimes 12s!) in most of their heels and they don’t look like you’ve given up on style in the process. I LOVE these sexy ankle-strap suede heels. If you are in Houston and also share my big foot problems – order these online, there are no 11s in store.
If you are tired of the skinny jean trend and ready to embrace the return of the wide leg trouser, these are a beautiful shade and a fabulous price point. Not a fan of the online styling – I prefer the class, balanced look of pairing it with a tight tee and heels or a fitted blouse rather than the over-sized sweater they are showing. The pants already have the ability to shorten a person, let’s not add to that effect!
Follow me on Instagram AND have a crazy amazing memory? You may remember these black booties from this spring. They were a staple for me when our temps were below a hundred ;-/ and now they are on sale! I agree with the website, they do run a bit snug so keep that in mind when ordering.
This romper is a sophisticated version of the trend and looks great on.
This necklace is a more petite version of the wildly popular Kendra Scott necklace which is also on sale!
I have a corporate speaking engagement later this month and this blouse will definitely be in my demo set for ways to wear trends without sacrificing professional style!
Oh my goodness. This could go on forever. I haven’t even talked about the athletic wear or this perfect t-shirt bra for $29! BTW – unless you are out and want the double points, I would skip fragrances this time (not too many deals).
For the Guys
Guys – this sale is all about you updating your work week wardrobe. There is of course a bit of everything but there are some great suiting deals as well as everything else you need to complete your look for your 9-to-5-6-7.
If you are a fan of Hugo Boss, put your sandwich, mouse, or child down and immediately head over to Nordstrom.com or your nearest store. There are tons of several great colors and styles on the sale. In case you are wondering about fit, in order of most roomy to most snug, Jeffrey > Sharp > Genesis.
Gentlemen, if you haven’t already, it’s time to step up your sock game. Paul Smith makes my favorite eye catching styles but at $30/ea a little anniversary sale help is appreciated!
If I HAD to pick my three favorite shoes in the Anniversary Sale line-up, it would have to be these three. I love the shape, the colors, and clients have really loved the way they fit and look.

For the Tinys
I couldn’t resist this little number for my tiny intern. While I do hope she eventually decides to shoot up I secretly hope she’ll stay shorty spice for the duration of this outfit so she can rock the 80s-style over-sized sweater look. lol.
For the Home
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is not just about clothing! There are some great hostess gifts and brands for the home. My two take home items were definitely scent related.
This candle gift set and my favorite diffuser are part of the sale as well. Prosecco is my favorite scent though if you find Champagne somewhere snatch that one too – so good!!
